DESCRIPTION
Τhe renovation of DEI (Public Power Corporation SA) intends to modernize and upgrade the company’s profile in the new competitive open energy market. Architectural interventions play a critical role in the formation of an environment which is characterized by a single identity, definitely recognizable and a quality which goes along with the profile and the status that the company wants to achieve.
In this context, in the renovation of this pilot, central shop the basic design principles and architectural characteristics were created and applied for DEI’s "New Shop’s Visual Identity". On them, the renovation of the main shops throughout Greece will be based.
Those characteristics include the basic color palette, building materials, signs, furniture special structures and most importantly lighting.
Especially as far as lighting is concerned, it plays a decisive role in the form and look of the building, due to the connection of the company with electrical power, and conclusively light.
For this reason, emphasis has been given to the use of light, either with special structures, or with a selection of particular lighting devices that promotes that part of the synthesis.
The combination of all the above features of course is fulfilled due to the high level in construction quality and intensive care in the finishes of the structures. To assure this and to achieve the desired level of the outcome, a series of architectural, constructive details has been given to the building company to explain the works thoroughly.
