DESCRIPTION
This building is a private company’s headquarters and also has a commercial department. It consists of six levels, three underground and three over ground, of a total surface of 1.300 m², including underground parking, warehouse, exchange rooms and administration offices. It has a link if vertical communication with stairs and persons elevator and also a car & cargo lift to serve the underground levels.
Regarding the structural formation, the building, pre-fabricated 100% , is made of iron, glass and wood at the four upper levels, which are based in the two lower levels made of concrete, the foundation of the light super-structure. The frame which is made of iron with visible joints, carries the metal shaders that surround the glass facades of the building.
The austere bioclimatic design of the building, apart from the passive protection of the shell of the main volume, includes a complex clima technology, with the use of large underground thermal deposits, which diminish the consumption of energy when weather phenomena are at their peak. Being a part of its aesthetic, the bioclimatic features along with the visible iron frame are directly perceived by the user of the building.
